2016 – our first fundraising event was a cake sale at East Barnet Festival in July where we raised £700 with the help of 10 local volunteer bakers
We were also at festivals in West Hendon, Burnt Oak, Clitterhouse Farm and Grange Big Local in East Finchley and freshers fairs at Barnet College to meet residents and raise funds.
We held a round table meeting with other funders in Barnet to discuss how we could best work together to promote local giving and empower local communities.
We attended a BUZZ Women’s Network meeting of the North London Federation of Small Businesses to engage with local businesses about Barnet Giving and met with the Hendon Rotary Club to discuss working together.

We sold charity Christmas cards, with 5 imaginative designs donated by local artist Theresa de Swiet – at the High Barnet Christmas Fair, Finchley Golf Club, Barnet House and Barnet Council.
Our first grant round opened in October 2016, closing in January 2017.
Five grants were made in March 2017.
For our 2017 Charity Christmas Cards, we held a design competition for local primary and secondary schools. Five winning designs were chosen and sold across the borough.
2018 – our second Easter raffle was held in Barnet House.
We started a volunteering project for young people with disabilities to carry out fundraising and social action projects fir Barnet Giving.
